I am sorry I have not posted sooner. It has been a busy summer. The last week of July in therapy, Kayla, with the help of the PT's, walked up and down 20 stairs.

On July 31 we went to the first annual reunion picnic at the rehab hospital in Bethlehem. All of her nurses, therapists and aides were thrilled to see her and see how much progress she has made.

Next week Kayla has an appointment with a surgeon to set a date to have the button for her feeding tube removed. It has been giving her trouble and we have not been able to get the right authorization to have it replaced. In addition to that she is taking her medicine by mouth and also all her nutrition my mouth. So it just seems like she will be a happier person without it.
