Kayla was tired this morning and seemed a little cold so she slept snuggled under her comforter.
At the team meeting, all therapists think she is making progress, following directions sometimes. The physical therapy team is waiting for the results of the xrays that will be taken tomorrow. We are all hoping that the left leg will be cleared for weight bearing exercise. Then they can do so much more with Kayla.
Peter and April met with the wheelchair specialist to start the process for getting a wheelchair for Kayla for when she goes home. It takes a while to get one.
Medically she is doing well. The doctor decreased her blood pressure medicine today to see how her body handles that. Hopefully they can eventually do away with that medication too.
Lots of small steps will add up to big progress.
I have never commented but have been following your blog. I am so glad that Kayla made it through such a horrible event. I can't wait to read the post when she goes home! Blessings to all of you!
