I am going to post a little early tonight so that I do not forget.
This morning to transfer to her wheelchair the physical therapist had Kayla standing on her right leg(with alot of help). I believe they are going to xray her legs again later in the week and we are hoping that they will then clear the left leg for weight bearing too.
Before lunch they removed the bandage from her trach site. It has healed closed enough for that. They also removed the pulse-oxy indicator from her toe. So now she is not connected to anything except when she is getting her feedings.
The speech therapist fed her some banana pieces this afternoon and she again chewed them so they will be switching her from pureed food to a soft food diet. I am hoping that the food with taste better and therefore she will want to eat it.
