July 1 - 10 am

Sorry I didn't post sooner.

I spoke to my sister this morning, the drain is doing it's job. My mom said that they said there was a lot of protein in the fluid, which makes it thicker, hopefully once they can get that out and draining, she will be able to regulate on her own.

Kayla is showing them just how much of a sassy girl she is, pulling at the trach, stitches, pretty much anything she can get her hands...not that I blame her one bit!

She is looking around more and starting to focus on people more.

And after the procedure last night they had her on the respirator, but this morning she is breathing on her own, just some oxygen, and they mist her throat through the trach.

They plan to get her up in the wheel chair again today.

And what I'm sure will be the highlight of her day...she's going to get a popsicle today!
