Mom had a long talk with the main doctor this evening.
They plan to take her off the other sedation drug in the morning. They will still be able to administer as needed, but she will no longer be on a drip.
Also they are continuing to lower the blood pressure medicine - hopefully her body continues to tolerate this and regulate her blood pressure on her own.
They have decreased the pressure setting on the ventilator, because Kayla is breathing more on her own. Her chest x-ray today showed improvement.
I was just up at school today and many of Kayla's teachers were asking about her. Please know that we are thinking of her and keeping her in our prayers. She is a special little girl who makes all of us smile. Thoughts and prayers,

Wishing Kayla was completely healed and back to herself again, but this is progress. One day at a time is a step closer. Praying for her and your entire family. God Bless You.
ReplyDeleteThank you for putting up this site for Kaylas updates. We are Kayla neighbors and have been very concerned about her. I am glad to hear of some improvements. We are praying for her every day.
